FjällVila UppTäcka Light rooftop tent: one of the lightest rooftop tents in the world

The FjällVila UppTäcka Light is one of the lightest rooftop tents on the market. With an unprecedented low weight of only 35kg, you can even mount this roof tent on the roof of your car by yourself. With the same ease you remove it on your own you store it again. Whether you want to go away for the weekend, spend a night in your friends’ driveway or go night fishing, you won’t find lighter and easier. Due to its low weight, this tent can also be used on smaller cars with a low maximum roof load.

The extremely light weight is made possible by the ingenious design, in which the bottom and top of the 1680D Oxford transport cover are simultaneously part of the tent. The cover is zipped together by means of a circular zipper. To create a flat solid base, a very light and strong Aluminum frame is used. As with the hardcover versions, the system opens by means of a gas spring and the mattress is stored in the tent during transport. There is also enough space to store sleeping things and ladder inside the tent. The side walls are made of tear-resistant, UV-resistant and mildew-resistant 420D Polyester Oxford Ripstop with a water column of >5000mm.

For a longer road trip, the standard supplied 3cm HD-foam mattress is quite thin. An extra sleeping mat, or replacing the mattress for an air mattress will make you sleep as comfortably as at home.

Note: This tent is not delivered fully assembled. The initial installation still requires partial assembly, which takes about 45 minutes. Want to be completely unburdened? We can assemble the tent for you at pickup, at an additional cost of €75.

Upon arrival, check the packaging for visible shipping damage. If there is visible shipping damage to the package, take photos and make a note on the carrier's delivery receipt; is the visible shipping damage severe? Contact our emergency number on the shipping label to discuss whether to refuse delivery.

Place the package on a flat surface with the top cover arrows facing up. Open the packaging by removing the lid from the shipping box. Unfold the tent, possibly on a couple of trestles, to inspect it for any (shipping) damage and assess whether it meets your expectations in terms of size, color and finish. You can also remove the instructions, fasteners and ladder from the tent.

As long as you are not sure if you want to keep the product, do not use the product (mount it on your car and take it on a weekend trip) and carefully keep the packaging including all protective equipment, manuals, etc. For the complete regulations regarding the "on sight" in the cooling-off period for products purchased online, we refer you to the applicable laws and regulations, laid down in the Distance Selling Act, our general terms and conditions and the information in the right of withdrawal and return tab.
